Born in San Antonio, Texas and raised on the Westside of San Antonio, Nurse Practitioner Misty Trevino graduated from Edgewood High School as Valedictorian. One of seven children, NP Trevino, is still very close to her family. Even though San Antonio is one of the top largest cities in the nation, she loves how it still maintains that small town feeling! Those values are important to her.

NP Trevino graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2014 with a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner. She joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2021, after meeting with founder and CEO, Dr. Bill Gonzaba. “His goals, ideas, and morals are what drive this organization and I agree with his values. Como Familia/Like Family is true to me and my values.”

She loves serving the San Antonio senior community, becoming a Registered Nurse in 2002. After seeing her beloved patients being admitted to the hospital for conditions that should have been prevented, she became part of the solution, becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2014. Her goal is to help provide comprehensive medical care to her patients to prevent strokes, heart attacks, and fatal conditions, through adequate preventive treatment and patient knowledge.

In NP Trevino’s free time she loves spending time with her daughter, on the water, fishing, biking, dancing, enjoying live music, and crafting. If you catch her on a walk, she’ll probably introduce you to her grand-kitty, Cheesecake and dog, Peanut!
