Dr. Jose Alejandro Cortes was born and raised in Puebla, México a city that uniquely blends modern and traditional cultures. He decided to pursue medicine due to his passion for being able to provide the community with extraordinary care. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Popular Autónoma in Puebla, México.

Dr. Cortes pursued an international clerkship at St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston, TX after Medical School. He then earned his post-graduate training at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra, serving as Chief Resident. He was selected by his medical peers to be a liaison between residents and administrations.

He was drawn to GMG for their reputation, and upon further research found that his own values were reflected in the company. Dr. Jose Alejandro Cortes joined the familia because he wants to provide patient-centered compassionate care.

When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to the movies, playing sports, or flying drones.

Dr. Cortes is fluent in English and Spanish.
