Dr. Jose Antonio Franco Quintanilla is an Internal Medicine doctor. He attended the Escuela de Medicina Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he earned his Medical Doctorate. He completed clinical rotations in Madrid, Spain at the Doce de Octubre University Hospital, and at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his residency at UT Health San Antonio, in Internal Medicine.
Born and raised in Monterrey Mexico, Dr. Franco Quintanilla enjoyed time with his family, the tightknit community, and growing up surrounded by mountains. His grandfather inspired him to go into medicine. Dr. Franco Quintanilla got to see firsthand, through his grandfather, the positive impact that physicians had in the community and by caring for the most vulnerable.
Dr. Franco Quintanilla joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2026, “I chose Gonzaba because I like the fact that its physician-owned and physician-run and they really treat everyone like family, including patients and staff. The patients’ needs and their health is at the center of everything.” Dr. Franco Quintanilla specializes in Internal Medicine, and is highly experienced in treating heart failure, hypertension, and diabetes.
He loves spending time with his wife and daughters. He enjoys family experiences like hiking, movies, watching and playing soccer. You may catch him conquering a Lego set to get his mind off things.
Dr. Franco Quintanilla is fluent in both English and Spanish.
