Dr. Laura Piñon Triplett from Corpus Christi, Texas graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska where she received her Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Piñon Triplett served as the Chief Resident at Memorial Family Medicine in Houston Texas, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, for her compassion and dedication to service.

Growing up in a close-knit family, Dr. Piñon Triplett not only loved spending time with her family, but she also recognized early on that diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol were prevalent in her community. At a young age, Dr. Piñon Triplett saw firsthand that family members did not always feel comfortable speaking with their doctors openly about their health complications. After losing a grandparent to diabetes and heart disease, she knew that she wanted to be a part of the solution. Dr. Piñon Triplett wants her patients to feel comfortable talking with her as their primary care physician, serving them with compassion and care, while achieving the healthiest outcomes for her patients.

Dr. Piñon Triplett joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2021. She chose Gonzaba Medical Group because of their emphasis on doing the right thing for patients and treating them Como Familia, Like Family.

Dr. Piñon is fluent in English and Spanish.
