Dr. Ryan D. Willett was born and raised in Missouri and moved to Austin, Texas, where he majored in Economics and minored in Spanish, earning his bachelor’s from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Willett served as Chief Resident at Houston Methodist Hospital during his Diagnostic Radiology Residency where he also completed a mini fellowship in Body Imaging. He completed his fellowship in Cardiothoracic Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.

Dr. Willett joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2025, sharing “I believe in the preventative medicine and proactive patient care model of GMG and think it’s the future of medicine. Radiology plays such an important role in this. The Como Familia culture makes it easy to feel at home”.

He specializes in Diagnostic Radiology, Cardiothoracic Imaging, and Body Imaging.

A girl-dad, Dr. Willett enjoys experiencing life with his wonderful wife and 4 daughters, visiting local San Antonio restaurants, going to the gym, and cheering on the UT Longhorns.
