Fiesta is a beloved San Antonio tradition dating back to 1891 when the very first Battle of the Flowers event was held to honor the Battle of San Jacinto and the Alamo Heroes. The parade was so successful in bringing the community together and generated so much excitement that more events were added during the month of April, eventually leading to the Fiesta we know and love today.

As an integral part of the San Antonio community, Gonzaba Medical Group takes great pride in their Fiesta Medals. Every year we incorporate our values and service to the community with San Antonio’s rich culture to create an unforgettable design. This year’s medal displays Gonzaba’s iconic casita to represent our Como Familia atmosphere and pay tribute to the very first clinic where our founder and CEO Dr. William “Bill” Gonzaba started it all!

To speak to and honor our deep roots in the San Antonio Community, we have the yellow rose of Texas embracing the casita in a vibrant yellow. In honor of Fiesta’s colorful style, there are two versions of the medal: one with a teal ribbon and another with a red ribbon. Collecting fiesta medals is a beloved San Antonio tradition as well as an exciting way to kick off the season, and we are excited to be a part of it!
