Senior Spotlight: Bonnie Shines as We Celebrate Seniors Month
Yvonne, known to her close friends and family as Bonnie, has been very integrated in the San Antonio Community. She served on the Fiesta Flambeau Association for 28 years!
During her time with the Flambeau, Gonzaba provided help when no one else would, and she tells us that she has loved Gonzaba ever since. When her husband passed away after 51 years of happy marriage, it was hard for Bonnie to get herself to do anything. It was not until she started going to the Gonzaba North Central Event Center that she began to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
In 2017, Dr. Bill Gonzaba, our CEO and founder, wanted to dedicate a whole month to recognizing the cityβs senior community. September was named Celebrate San Antonio Seniors monthβ a month to spotlight the accomplishments and contributions made by the senior community.
