When living with diabetes, your eyes are extra sensitive and need regular exams to detect irregularities early while intervention is still possible.
Woodlawn Physical Medicine and Specialty Center Opens April 29th, 2025

Gonzaba’s new Woodlawn Location – located just down the road from Hillcrest Medical Center—has transformed to meet the needs of our patients! Woodlawn Physical Medicine and Specialty Center is a brand-new innovative healthcare structure that provides specialty care, physical therapy services and houses an event center, all in one convenient location!
Gonzaba’s most tenured physical therapist, Stuart Saunders, and his team have relocated to the brand new Woodlawn location April 29th, 2025. PT Saunders and his team are an extension of your primary care doctor as they are in constant and direct communication with one another to ensure you receive individualized high-quality care.
This new location allows Gonzaba healthcare providers to pair physical therapy services with exercise classes for higher quality results and speedier recovery. Experience the full range of care that Gonzaba provides by seeing PT Saunders and his team before heading to an exercise class right next door! Take advantage of all the services Gonzaba provides and give your body more opportunities to increase mobility and stability.
“We (the physical therapy team) work as hard as we can to help people maintain their independence.” -PT Saunders
At Gonzaba, we know your independence matters—that’s why we are dedicated to providing services and resources to help you preserve your independence through maintaining mobility and stability. With Gonzaba’s unique coordinated care approach, our healthcare providers work together to create an environment that fosters collaboration and communication to create positive healthcare outcomes. Patients receive an individualized healthcare plan led by their primary care doctor and supported by our various in-house specialists to benefit them, as needed.
If you are experiencing symptoms such as aches, pains, dizziness, mobility issues or excess fatigue, we encourage you to ask your primary care doctor about physical therapy services as soon as possible.
In fact, Gonzaba wants to go a step further and take a proactive approach to your physical health by ensuring you have access to preventative and ongoing care for your mobility. We invite you to check out our physical therapy services even before you start seeing any symptoms.
“You should not wait until issues such as pain, fatigue, dizziness or balance start to negatively impact your life. Physical therapy is a general wellness program that everyone ought to consider.” – PT Saunders
Seeing a physical therapist with moderate regularity can improve your quality of life as it is a great way to learn how to take care of your body through physical activity. Your primary care doctor will work with our in-house physical therapists to create a preventative health plan that aligns with your needs.
Let’s get you started on your physical therapy journey! Once you’ve spoken to your primary care doctor, ask about what PT Saunders and his team have going on at the new Woodlawn Event Center and join in on the fun!
Gonzaba is passionate about helping you maintain your independence. We prioritize your healthcare journey so you can keep doing the things you love.
