In Loving Memory of Dr. Bradley E. Smith, D.C.
Compassionate Healer, Beloved Chiropractor, Cherished Friend.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dr. Bradley E. Smith, a deeply respected chiropractor, devoted Medical Director of Physical Medicine, and beloved member of the Gonzaba Medical Group familia. Dr. Smith passed away on July 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, and is leaving behind a legacy of healing, leadership, and wholehearted service to our San Antonio community.

Dr. Smith joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2006, quickly becoming known not only for his clinical excellence, but for his genuine compassion and warmth toward everyone who crossed his path. His philosophy was simple, yet powerful: “I simply treat to help restore the body’s self-healing ability.” This allowed Dr. Smith to connect with his patients in meaningful ways, providing comfort and trust through sincere care. His patients often described him as “miraculous”, “easy to talk to”, and “a true blessing.” He was more than a provider to them… he was their familia.

To his colleagues, Dr. Smith was a steady presence whose influence shaped the way we support one another and show up for our patients. His work ethic was unmatched. He was a machine when it came to getting things done, but more than that, he was the person you could always count on. Just knowing he was in your corner made even the hardest days feel a little easier. And of course, Dr. Smith brought joy wherever he went. He was the department’s resident prankster, always quick with a joke or a lighthearted jab, reminding everyone not to take life too seriously. In a field that can often feel heavy, he made sure laughter always had a place.

Dr. Smith is survived by his loving wife, RJ, their two children, his extended family, and the countless lives he touched as a chiropractor, colleague, and friend.

As we grieve the tremendous loss of our colleague and friend, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life he led… a life filled with dedication, kindness, humor, and healing. Dr. Smith’s legacy will live on in every person he befriended, uplifted, and healed. Como familia, like family. Dr. Smith was, and always will be, a cherished part of ours.
